For Transylvania, there is no original Name in Rumanian "Ardeal" is o phonetic form from the Hungarian ERDELY.
Transylvania is the Latin form from the Hungarian Erdely, meaning the same, because the written official language in Hungary during the middle Ages was Latin.
Ardeal, doesn't mean anything in Rumanian.
Septem Castrums=Sieben Burgen ( german ) ( 7 army camps ) is from Hungarian Latin too, from the 7 Hungarian tribes coming to Transylvania before their Big Conquest of Pannonia
