Public schools are state government funded programs and for there to be a time or prayer in school in a country of diversity would be hypocritical to the first amendment unless you were to give a moment of prayer for every religion present. If you were to only do prayers for one faith that would be government promotion of a religion, which the founding fathers told us to avoid. Ever heard of separation of church and state? Keep you prayers in Christian school

Separation between church and state means no prayer in school. It means freedom of religion, it means freedom from religion. I think that's a good thing, of course "Dr." Paul doesn't when he says:

"Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government's hostility to religion"

Fun fact: This will add, for the first time, the word "God" into the constitution. Reading the amendment.
