Snowmobiling is one Maines most popular winter activities and a fun way to cover lots of ground and enjoy scenes of forested mountainsides and frozen lakes and ponds. More than 14,500 miles of interconnected, marked and groomed snowmobile trails are maintained by local clubs and organizations, ensuring plenty of terrain to explore. Many towns are snowmobile hubs, providing a full range of services for snowsled riders and hosting winter festivals and events, including the Snodeo in the Rangeley Lakes region, the International Snowmobilers Festival in Madaswaska, and the Polar Blast Festival in Eustis.

Tell folks down country, out of state the trails are super, groomed, smooth, fun. The scenery and seeing wildlife, getting places you can not by car is awesome. People are friendly, rolling out the red carpet to share the neat area of Vacationland that's fun any season, winter included.
