shotgun with more of a standardized pellet count will will preform better as long as the user and weapon is set up corectly,yes i have seem ppl outshoot with a 20ga or even a .410 to less experienced users of 12ga's.the best set up ive seen is a truglo ssx with 3.5in shells #5-7 shot,shot material depends of how much money you like to spend. best patterns with highest pellet count in a 10in circle was by tss 18.5g/cc handloads.ive seen turkey taken from around 120yds with a scope

Adrenalin junkie is so proud about his kill. Man, you will pay through karma your hunting.

@Flammenwerferpanzer Well duh its because theres no spread in a 410. Its easier to kill a turkey with a 410 than with a 12 gauge at a long distance.

@patriots14892 not necessarily

I don't think the point was to impress you with a long distance shot. He was trying to bag a turkey. The closer the turkey comes, the better the chance for a clean kill. It's probably harder to get a turkey to walk right up to you than to make a long distnce shot anyway.
