  • This ain't crap, this is the shit. It shows they're not close minded fuckwads like you.

  • dude, you do realize that all the people you think are "great" would probably think you are a tool. Battle of the bands bullshit is for simpletons. the inner sanctum of musicians do not talk like this about eachother. You stand for noone and nothing accept your own ignorance. Just wait a few years if you ever get out there on the circuit. You will find out real quick that your attitude will not fly, unless you pride yourself in being a dick and enjoy people hating you everywhere you go lol

  • I think John Zorn is totally talented. He has reinvented music in so many ways, from when he was in Naked City till now. He is still reinventing music using traditional music from around the world. He certainly has created a niche jazz scene. I love it, and anyone trained in music (and those who aren't as well) can appreciate what a genius he is

  • cool!

  • What I dig is that this is Bill Frisell at his earliest that I know of.

  • watski 5 years ago nailed the song writer as Duke Ellington written in about 1931. Thank you for setting this straight. I know the tune from a Sun Ra album and assumed it was his composition. I love John Zorn's version, what an incredible band! Avant Garde isn't for everyone, but any sounds can be music, and can elicit all kinds of emotional responses. All kinds of music defines humanity's ear. And it's always evolving.

  • @HipHopkins09 : Ummm... if ANYONE should like this, it should be jazz musicians, who have the greatest range of musicianship in the industry. I'm guessing the people who listen to the crap on the radio are the ones that dislike this because they simply don't understand it. Any real jazz musician will know the later works of Coltrane as art, just as this is.

  • I wish this was the first dance at my wedding.

  • sometimes music expresses what I feel. But when I'm listening to this I am Sound, just sound flying around...

  • What the fuck is this??

  • umm... ok...

    now, pass the kush!
