  • it's not either or, most of these guys are amazing surfers, just a better tool for the job when it's blowing 40+

  • fuck them i guys, i got blind sided by one of those guys when they hit a wave and didnt know what the hell they were doing and hit me while i was waiting for a set.

  • only assholes kitesurf around surfers...we're not all assholes...

    where were you?

  • this is why I was shooting instead of riding. GS swam in from the second sandbar after I left when the valve popped open on his main bladder. All these guys are experienced swimmers...you can always ditch the rig and just surf or swim in. Although the telephoto makes the second sandbar look closer than it was, it was only breaking occasionally. The inside break was relatively close to shore. But your right, the wind was 20 degrees off straight off shore at 40+ and rescue options few..

  • These guys are experts no doubt - that wind is crazy and those are nasty swells...these guys could easily be pros.

  • 2:31...i wanna be able to do that on a real surfboard

  • That shit is pretty nuts.

Does not look as scary as it looks out there but if you actually try it you'll know

  • surfing in cocoa beach, i was pissed.

  • Haha yes!! I've heard of this shit, but never seen it. That's so awesome.

  • Honestly this looks like a disaster waiting to happen, I grew up on the Banks and it's NO JOKE...

If you can't swim in from way outside, you shouldn't be in the water on heavy days bottom line...

The problem I see with the kite guys, tow guys, and windsurfers is you all can make it out without much trouble but making it in and dealing with the current on the Banks has shook even some of the best locals...
