  • I remember reading many years ago that Connolly was shot strapped to a chair, after being injured in the easter rising, without a doubt he was a principled and courageous man who ultimately died for his cause.

  • Can't believe this march has been stopped. To distance it from sectarian causes then stop it for the current state of affairs in Northern Ireland contradicts everything the organisers have said for the last 30 years. This was a commemorative march for a man that did a lot for the working class man all over the world. Someone with the know how should do everything they can to get this march back on the callander.

  • @dubbigot Do you think that a civil war was inevitable?

  • James Connolly. One of the greatest ever socialist thinkers. Here's to a one and inclusive Ireland. Great vid. TAL.

  • CONNOLLY'S A HIBEE!

  • iam english but not british.god will bless connolly pearse up the celtic fc

  • Good point in relation to Pearse and Connolly, people often forget about his socialist beliefs.

  • connolly was a great man who didnt deserve to be shot like a dog ,but we must remember that his beliefs were in total contrast to that of pearse and if freedom was clenched in easter week the civil war would have been between connolly and pearse, the only way to be popular in irish politics is to die after a very popular vote

  • born in scotland with an irish background and clerly stuck 2 his roots and came bk 2 his troubled heartland
