i have been doing everything right, watching the start and finish vids, every single one. and i have attempted a hat at least 5 times, but it just gets a lot of those bumps and it goes frilly, im using the right hook too. is there any way i can do it right?!

I made a scarf with the double crochet using these tutorials, and now my hat is coming along nicely. I like that each round is broken down into separate videos with starting and finishing.

My hat,,,is doig like,,not circular rows,,more like a contniuous spiral, will ti still form into a hat?
