@LadyIp indeed... that's the meaning of the song... it's like the fall or sleep of mankind: "we shut our eyes
to the beauty and fell asleep."
wow, chris knew how to write good poetry back then... maybe because he felt he was falling alongside mankind

@alexwitchunter, this song is not at all a suicide song. It's, on the contrary, a song which mourns for the loss of life being "asleep" or not conscious of it. That way longs for the lost spring and summer of life and regrets not having spent them properly and leaving a legacy so to say farewell to it without fear in "winter".

In this point i wanna feel all the power of the sadness cause in this moment there is no other else in me, an this theme take me where i wanna to stay, unless in my mind cause my body don´t want to follow it; if you understand that, you will know why i'd been searching this song for almost 10 years

i agree with you ... Empyrium & Lacrimas Profundere (la naissance d'un reve and a burning wish) are my faves also ... this kind of music creates world of her own... nothing can be compared to that ...it's own memories and it's own feelings ... perfectly
a suicide song....a very sad theme.....every time i am listening to this song i get a feeling of senseless and meaningless (not about the song, but the rest ....outside its lyrics and music)
Sometimes I get homesick.....and always these kind of songs bring me to a state of emotion that I cannot explain.....another really good album in this kind of genre is Empyrium ( A Wintersunset)
Definitively one of the best albums ever done.
