I have one of these I want another then I will but a Kimber Mine has been fully modified wit a combat comander trigger and hammer and comp springs als has an underlug under the barrel shoots like a dream

@fred1671 oh yeah, don't get me wrong...i have this pistol too (it's my profile pic) and it has been and excellent weapon. i love my kimber too, but my only complaint with kimber is their price....you can't even start looking at a kimber without dropping $1100! i dropped 1375 for mine. but this springfield only set me back about $800.

@eatmytool1 Agreed. I have the very same 1911-A1 and I absolutely love it, but it's no Kimber Desert Warrior. I have shot both a few hundred times - in and out of the Military - and I'll take the USMC special ops over any handgun made today.

What do you guys who are owners of this pistol think of it? I'm thinking about buying one tomorrow. I was looking at an RIA, but I would rather buy something American made instead, especially if it's a Springfield. Plus I hear RIA's are alot heavier than Colt, Springfield, etc. Anyone have any problems with the Springfield 1911A1? I'm torn between Parkerized finish or Stainless steel.

Version parkerized !! Aucun probleme avec ce modele, juste une fois, la culasse (sale) ne se verrouillait pas completement, un peu d'huile et c'etait resolu.RIA ? connait pas...

RIA = Rock Island Armory. I hear they are a decent 1911, but they're supposed to be more of a "knock-off." Like they are pretty good, but they aren't like a Springfield or a Colt. They are also less expensive. But I heard they are alot heavier than other 1911s. Sorry I'm a little rusty on my French. But yeah I'm thinking parkerized is what I want.

Ah ok. RIA n'est pas connu en France, je n'en n'avait jamais entendu parlé avant.Vous, aux USA, vous avez le choix pour un 1911, vous pouvez en prendre plusieurs, de differents modeles...
