Actually Diamonds was one of Chris' few charting singles in the US wasn't it? Made the top 50 at least
Chris never regained the success he had with "Fool" and What Ever Happened.

Please don't judge all American tastes based on what some consultants or radio programmers said was good music. I worked in radio at the time and played this song as it it was a hit. Sure sounds like it to me.
