your running a bit to much gads in it it should hit constantly and did u shim it it should take that bit of shaking out of it other wise looks awsome i had the same problems with mine
Wow....exactly like the one I used to have. Mine had a rubber diaphragm style fuel pump on it. I think that made it a later model, sometime in the 20's I guess. It has been a while now, about 20 years now since I last saw it.

Mine had a spark plug, with the same "breadbox" looking magneto like this one, so it was after 1924, then.

Did your engine have a sparkplug or igniter?
1924 was the last year they made the 1 1/2hp with an igniter
That would give you a rough idea on the date of your engine
They made the 1 1/2HP "M" from 1917 to 1933 if I remember right
