@ELBluesnake I love metheny but i have to say that rosenwinkel's sound is too original to make me think of metheny. Composition and arrangement is not as obvious as playing style. I dont think of any other jazz musician when i listen to rosenwinkel .In fact I am starting to hear a lot of young jazz guitarists sounding like rosenwinkel. He is a true original.

Wonderful music, heavenly played but .. very Methenyisch. For me that association is too strong, it's just too close in some aspects (mainly in composition and arrangement). Makes me grab a PM CD (or LP) from the shelf.

@CobHatecrewNor Kurt's old vestax new yorker is really hard to find. There's a new model which looks very similar to his called an EXSS though. Although different build - the old vestax guitars are much heavier with more wood in them
