Hummingbird Wars Part II

These were taken in April 2009. The migrating Rufous Hummingbird is a feisty visitor and usually manages to get some pretty agressive behavior going around the feeders. On this particular day, in addition to both male and female Rufous, we also had the Calliope, Black Chin, Anna's and Allen's Humminbirds fighting over this feeder. We have a total of 8 feeders around the yard during the peak migration but the little jewels seem to carry on feedeing frenzies around one feeder in their quest for dominance.
