wow i just chanced upon eivor and it didn't take me a long time to fall in love with her music - brilliant!

Although I don't understand Faroese or Icelandic very well, I think the song is about her two sisters, not her nieces. There's another video here on youtube where she talks about the making of the song, saying that she missed her sisters while on a trip and then wrote this song for them. Or so I think at least - as I said, I don't understand those languages too well :-)
But whoever it's for, it's a wonderful song...

@Cherrycouture01 It's about her two nieces, named: Elinborg and Elisabeth Maria. The song descripes the two, how Eivør sees them, and e.g. that Elisabeth Maria has beautiful blue eyes, and she paints beautiful paintings, with yellow, blue and other colors... And the songs ends with them going to sleep... So basically the song is a tribute to her nieces...

One of my friends from the faroeislands showed this to me. Now i can't stop listening to it, even though i dont undestand a word. She has such a beautyful voice.
