Brooke and Jim--No Surprise

Brooke Davis and Jim Halpert are dating, they've talked about marriage but each one is jealous of the other's friendships. Brooke of Jim and Pam;;Jim of Brooke and Owen.

One night, Brooke is at TRIC with Peyton who informs her that Jim is there with Pam, when she looks over she sees Pam kiss Jim so the next day she calls Jim at his work to say they need to talk, she knows he was with Pam. After work, Jim goes to their home to find Brooke packing. She says that she was slutty in highschool but she wishes she wasn't because she can't take it back. Jim knows she's also meaning he can't take his kiss with Pam back, so she says that she has to leave.

She's at Clothes Over Bros, tossing everything out and tells Peyton that she can't be there anymore and she doesn't want to talk about it. That night, Brooke has a dream of her and Jim sleeping next to each other but she's woken up by a noise outside so she looks out her window to see he has written an apology in the sand, but she closes the door in his face and asks Sam if she had talked to Jim, but Sam doesn't answer.

Brooke and Peyton go to the beach and both agree that they should get out of town, and go back home to Tree Hill. Jim is also at the beach telling Pam about his fight with Brooke.

Jim is in a meeting at work and Pam falls asleep on his shoulder, that makes him think of the fight with Brooke where she calls him a jerk and he says that she makes him feel like he's never good enough for her. Brooke goes to the bar to talk to Owen, where he mixes her a new drink and tells her to try it, that makes her think back to when Jim told her she trusts Owen's opinion more than she trusts his.

That makes her realize that, while she loves Jim, they're just not meant to be together, so she gets her things and leaves. When Jim gets home he sees the note from Brooke saying that she's staying at her parents' because she needs to think. He goes to the bar with a friend and finally admits that he knows it's over.

It ends with Peyton picking Brooke up at the NC airport and Jim driving back to his now empty home.
