I'm using the vertical slide for the cutoff for 2 reasons. The primary reason is that them machine came set-up for a cutoff blade on the vert. The secondary reason is that I have to hand feed parts to do the backside operation. Chamfer tool will soon be added on the rear slide.

How much did you buy the machine for?

If you can fax the print to us, we can help you fix this problem. No problem.

The easiest way to do it is to take the turret off. So you can take the indexing wheel off as it's easier to work on with it out of the machine. You need to move the indexing roll and pin to the forward hole and add a 2nd indexing roll and pin to the back hole. The middle hole should now be empty (this is the position for single indexing. You also need to move the turret release cam into forward position and add another special segment behind this one.

The problem with that here is that the part is too long to feed it out then do the end work on it. If I were making these parts I'd center it first, index the turret, drill it, index the turret, feed it out through a bushing in the turret (to keep the part from deflecting) to a solid stop put in to the hole opposite the one facing the spindle then chamfer it from the front slide and cut it off from the rear slide.

The cutoff is in the vertical slide. They probably don't have a T-Blade, or Johnson type holder for either the front or rear slides.

The cutoff cam doesn't have enought throw as well as the turret indexing too soon.

I allways feed out the bar stock then work on it with the cross slides and turret.

Ok, on second look I guess you are using a vertical cut-off, but you need to either wait longer before indexing, or bring you cut-off cam forward a little.
