@brettsmithy778 I've looked extremely hard but cannot see the Composer,Sir Edward Elgar anywhere.Surely you mean the Conductor? :-P

He's the Concertmaster, aka defacto peer leader of the ensemble following the Conductor - if you notice the downbeat of the climax at 3:11, the conductor's cue is emotive/artistic since it lacks a clear ictus (point of impact signifying a beat) ; the concertmaster realizes this and exaggerates his movements to help the rest of the orchestra keep the beat. Cool shit.

Just listen to the same piece conducted by the late great Sir Adrian Boult with the London Philharmonic and tell me hes not the greatest conductor who ever lived!!
