  • While AAC is an excellent fire resistant building material, the ASTM E119 hose stream test has nothing to do with fire fighter hose streams. The E119 hose stream test is run at ~30 psi while fire fighter's hose streams are typically in the 50-90 psi range. The E 119 test IS intended to test an assembly's structural integrity by exposing it after a partial burn test to forces that mimic those that an assembly may have to withstand during a fire.
