@hawaiianchief If it was a lecture or informational video, then I suppose the dogs wouldn't matter, would they? But this is supposed to be a ritual we are watching. I have respect for my elders and the Gods themselves...when I invoke or call them to be present, I give them the honor due, not by default. I have read her books, have you?
@Lavenderfawn Talk about suffocating the brilliance. Jesus, this elderly woman is tryin to post a helpful and informative video on wiccan practice, you be all up here giving her shit. If she wants to have her dogs there she can have her dogs there, my abuelita would do bruja rituals involving her pets all the time. It's called respect your elders for cryin out loud, damn.
Does wiccan have a lot of syncretic elements to it from catholicism/christianity? I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to wiccan practices. I know a lot about brujeria and santeria, which have very many syncretic elements between them and catholicism (saints, rosaries, prayers, etc.)
I love how you have your two beloved pets with you. My llapso apso isn't a huge fan of being in the circle, but my cats are more then happy to curl up on a pillow underneath my altar during a ritual. You do things a bit differently then I do, but none the less, it's nice to see other ways of doing things. You are a wonderful lady, and I give you thanks for posting this video, I'm glad I found it. Brightest Blessings to you and yours.

This is the craziest ritual I have ever seen! Firstly, I realize she is an elderly woman, but she could at least stand up when she greets her Goddess and/or God! And to keep these dogs around her, in her lap, and I think the other one was humping a stuffed animal...well, it just seemed like she was going through the motions and not really doing it. It was in no way sacred, and there seemed little if any intention; a waste of energy. It seemed kinda half-ass.

I'm so glad I've found you. You seem so wise. You draw down the moon a tad different then I do but still with such grace and poise.
