I worked there the summer of 1997 and yes it had a corkscrew. Just like the Vortex. It had to be removed when the head restraints were removed. Corkscrew has no G force to hold passengers in place. I remember the hang time being the big thrill. Also the music theme was heard greater at that point. By the way I'm a woman, and only smokers would need extra rest. I'm not that old.

@sexybj89 Paramount was quite the park owner. I once asked my buddy what he would do if he were the richest man in the world and he said, "I would buy Kings Island and turn it over to Paramount. Lol. Cedar Fairs RUINED Tomb Raider:The Ride...it's now completely not worth riding and it's broken down even more. Smh...

@zordfalco I worked there THIS past season, and I'm pretty sure the corkscrew is still there, considering I saw it EVERY DAY when I went in there...

@31JohnnyD Youre about to make me cry. LOL. I remember the theming back in 02' when I first rode this coaster, paramount parks were THE closets thing you could get to a "Universal studio" type park on a budget. LMAO I LOVED the movie themings of each park.

@zordfalco You have NO idea what you are talking about...That's for damn sure. There has been NO reports of any major reconstruction on FOF since 1996, when it was built. Read a book or something...I'm sooo jealous of you cause you're older me. At least I can make it around the park without having to stop and rest...You're probably THAT guy that hobbles around the park by himself and everyone wonders wtf he's doing at KI...go play some bingo or something...

@31JohnnyD That is a boomerang turn. MORON!! It used to almost come to complete stop like vortex and do a double helix corkscrew. When it was called OUTER LIMITS. Guess you were an infant at that time.

@Tfr3sh17 That's what you get with Cedar Fairs. Paramount used to have it themed out the ass. One of the best themed rides ever at one point...as were all of KI's when Paramount was there. Ex. number one...Tomb Raider/The Crypt, it's not even worth riding without the theming.
