But for Carmen i think Alonso's dancing has more spanish flavour. I am talking about the interpret. of the character, not technically. Technically i said Zakharova is even better. A. Alonso does better "plantes" and her arms ar more spanish. Her whole body line and her face (esp. at the end!) are very, very spanish, very "Carmen" :-) .
This is my humble opinion, i hope it doesn't hurt anyone.

I have just watched BOTH interpretations of Carmen: Alonso's and Zakharova's. Alonso's i knew already, but watched it again just in case. I think Zakharova is an even better dancer as Alonso was. I'm a huge fan of Zakharova's Giselle, which i can watch over and over again. What a talented ballerina is she, wow.....

@MrManny1120 Jordan-Elizabeth was coached in this role by Alberto before he passed away. He asked her to study the video of Svetlana Zakharova, not Alicia.

respect, she's got a really good technique and beautiful legs , but this performance is absolutely boring. i think carmen is just not her role, you have to explode on stage... she's pretending to have temperament, but it isn't coming from inside...
