This new device, which is designed to help veterinarians with laser declaw procedures on cats and kittens, decreases surgical time and increases comfort by providing "another hand" during the operation.

The ClearView clears the surgical field for better visualization and allows you to apply tension between P2 and P3. This tension opens the joint and makes the laser more efficient because it allows you to cut the ligaments under traction. It also decreases charring ... and less charring means better healing.

The ClearView also holds skin and hair out of the way, stabilizes the paw, allows traction on the joint for better cutting and a clear view of all structures to be incised, clamps to any surgical table in seconds, and has a surgical steel arm piece that detaches for steam sterilization.

  • I have a lost black kitty who came to me Halloween night 2011. She has already scratched my French Bulldog's eye resulting in vets more vet bills. She has a ring worm on her right paw.I have taken her to the vet for spay/tests/shots. I am going to get her declawed on the front feet only because she will be inside, she won't be able to react scratch my grand kids or my dog or us. My husband is on heart meds and takes blood thinners. I think the US is way ahead of Europe

  • This is animal cruelty. I wonder why the US haven't already banned this highly intrusive "modification" like in the more civilized parts of the world.

It doesn't make sense - you have the animal police, but at the same time allow irresponsible cat owners to selfishly torment their "loved-ones" with this painful and life-altering procedure, just to fit their material needs.

If you feel this is a "last resort", you should never have gotten a cat in the first place.

  • omg.. I wanted to throw up watching this! Still feel a little queezy... and I know this method is much "nicer" than the old school methods but I would never be able to put my cats through something like this :(

  • IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CATS TO SCRATCH YOUR CHAIRS AND TABLES THEN DON'T ADOPT THEM!!! YOU THINK YOU LOVE THEM EVEN YOU DECLAW YOUR PET??? DO YOU THINK YOUR CAT DON'T FEEL SAD AND ANGRY? YOU ARE WRONG. IF YOU ARE MY CAT, AND I PULL OUT ALL YOUR FINGER NAILS. WHAT WILL YOU THINK AND HOW YOU FEEL??? EXCITED????

  • barbaric

  • sick

  • That's cold.

  • couldnt they have made it out of something other than wood so it doesnt look like a mini guillotine? lol

  • @LDC454 Honestly to each their own. Ive seen enough cats that are fine from being declawed. If you dont like a procedure.. than you just dont have it done. But I see enough people being attacked for having different views. And All im saying is let people be!

  • @savannahsmom1985 Cats don't walk on their stomachs. They do, however, walk on their feet. Cats don't walk flat footed like we do. Cats walk up on their toes and when you declaw, you're forcing your cat to walk on amputated stumps the rest of their life.

There are a plethora of reasons why to spay your cat: Cuts down on unwanted litters, cuts the risk of cancers, cuts out the need to deal with heat cycles every other month. There are NO medical benefits to delcawing.
