Love Liza - Philip Seymour Hoffman
He waved hello, silent like a mime
Meaning there's no changing my mind
I won't walk the stairs with you tonight
Going nowhere
The clock moved a quarter of a turn
The time it took her cigarette to burn
She said, "You got a lot of things to learn"
Going nowhere

Saw you move a certain way
Missed you a lot
Return to this abandoned place
Should've been forgot
Echoes drown the conversation out
Echoes that only seem to bring about
A silent expression
Easily read aloud
Going nowhere

The steps made a pattern
I'd never seen
I felt like a kid of six or seventeen
I was off in some empty daydream
Going nowhere
It's dead and gone, matter of fact
It may be for the best
You said some things you can't take back
Honestly, I guess

The old records
Sitting on the floor
The ones I can't
Put on anymore
He walked over to her like before
Going nowhere
Going nowhere
Going nowhere

  • i dont want a fuckin letter!!!

  • this movie is amazingly deep, one of my favorites of all time i think, maybe,..

it was sad to notice as he was opening

"the letter",.. he was still wearing his

wedding ring. Elliot Smith over this clip

    adds brilliant touch (especially when

    you know his story)..... thanks

  • I've experienced suicide in my family and it sucks so can relate.

  • @sakituminow Neither do I, just wondering if my mental balance will be able to swallow it (besides the highest probability of not having a dime -cent in our continent- in the fuckin' near future!)

  • Great fucking movie.

  • Well it damn well should have been. I could literally feel the shivers running along my spine while I watched. I don't think I can relate to the kind of grief in this movie or even the song but I still felt it really strongly. Good job man

  • " i dont want a letter...i dont want a fucking letter..." and then...in.this fucking day,,,,my girlfriend gived me a letter :(((( :'''((....going nowhere :((

  • how did you do this?

  • My favorite Philip Seymour Hoffman film and, conincidently, my favorite Elliott Smith song. I remember crying in the car listening to this song for the first time. It was just too much at the time. Paired with one of my favorite films, it's fantastic.
