  • I can tell that the Press Your Luck board was running the Larson patterns, because you can see it do 2-12-1-9-4, 2-9-17-8, and a third pattern that goes to square #7 then #4 (the 5000+1 spin square). I think there were originally 5 patterns, but Michael Larson used those three to always stop the board on something with another spin in Round 2.

  • @jeopardy60611 He actually used a fourth pattern (started at square 18), but he rarely used it. First spin of the second round, and another when he stopped on Pick-a-Corner. But he NEVER used the first pattern (started at 5)

  • -This show's TRT is 27:58, far longer than the 22 minute runtime of a half-hour show. However, there were only a few points where I thought the show was dragging (particularly with the Nikon question mini-tangent). The key to being a good game show host is to know when you can chat it up with the contestants and when you need to keep the game moving to fit in the allotted timeslot.

Don't get me wrong: I had fun watching. The negatives are good suggestions for your next shows to improve them

  • @rjaguar3 I can respect the negative opinions, since that is mostly right. I gave it my absolute best here, though I can agree on some of the negativities.

  • Just finished watching. My final grade is B. Press Your Luck is by its very nature an exciting show, so it's pretty resilient: it's likely to come out entertaining, as it did here.

    Positives:

    +No unnecessary rule changes/money increases

+Good integration of PYL:EE into the show; making it far better

    Negatives:

-You should have used CamStudio (no watermark) and turned on host mode on PYL:EE (to remove the text that pops up when you land on a space). Minor but detracting things.

  • @rjaguar3 Towards the negative part, the Hypercam was the only thing I knew at the time I did this. CamStudio I will definitely look into for future references

  • Michael, you did an awesome job with Press Your Luck. And I say this from the bottom of my heart, this has to be one of the most interesting projects that you have done to date. Keep up the great work.

  • Great job Michael with Press Your Luck, I have to say that this has to be one of the best projects that you have done to date!!!!! Keep up the great work.

  • @Lottech96 Last time I checked, I believe Michael uses a random number generator to determine game events.
