@marxistsoldier Agree! Chelsea were good enough to have won a couple of league titles in the mid 60s - early 70s period, but they were always there or thereabouts in the table. Osgood was out for the season with a broken leg. During the healing process he put on 2 stone which he never managed to lose and which took a bit of his speed and agility away. There's a clip of a game at Anfield just prior to the injury that shows just how quick he was.
