my favorite song by jars of clay

Dude, every Jars of Clay album is Amazing. They are one of the sickest bands on Planet Earth!!

I actually think The Eleventh Hour is the closest album to this one. Like you said though, they're all quite different from each other and very unique. I never would've guessed that they would go from Good Monsters to an album like this, nor did I think they could top Good Monsters, but I definitely think they did. The Long Fall is much more unified as a whole.

Headphones certainly doesn't have the greatest lyrics on the album, but it offers an interesting take on society, and I think the music is excellent. It also fits in with the album better than "Two Hands" or "Hero" does.

I love the vulnerability of this song. I'm not offering my heart--you have it. I gave it to you in faith that you will offer me yours. To be caught in that moment must be beautiful and frightening all at once.

lol. "two hands" is totally the random contemporary worship song on the album. which i enjoy but yeah. definitely a lil out of place. i love these guys. <3
gah i love this song. we have done nothing to earn or deserve His love. God just gives it freely

yeah...it's one of the most interesting songs Jars has done...and this whole album is so different than any other music they've put out...if I didn't know it was Jars, I would never believe it was Jars

I can listen to this entire album non-stop...with the exception of the "head phones" song...and just get in the car and drive anywhere with a fantastic vibe...it's on a level of like Coldplay in a way...and they really nailed this album with all the dynamics of quiet to crescendo loud...I recommend this one to anyone.
