Ei, I'm a huge fan of Jesus Christ Superstar, for me is the greatest rock opera of all time. I was only in grade 3 when this was shown in theatres. College na ko when I saw the movie, it was re-issued. May double album kami kaya familiar ako with the songs. I got 2 VCDs, the original with Ted Nelly and Carl Andersen. The other version paled in comparison with the original in terms of vocal powers. Mary Magdalene - Yvonne Elliman is half Filipina. Thanks for posting.

This song is so significant because it shows the fear and pain they are feeling on a human level of losing a friend, mentor and teacher and also the deeper spiritual level that they don't really understand of losing their Saviour and Lord.
