Anyone who has ever taken one of these down knows that all it is is a Glock with revamped ergonomics. The striker assembly is identical, except that the channel liner is white polymer. Ditto for the XD. The trigger assembly is identical. Anyone who thinks this is some revolutionary design is either a fool, or living in "Only buy American" denial. We all know how the Sigma story went.

@SgtMustang375 Glock all the way!!!
-
@CarryA1911 well glock wins so to bad
-
@CarryA1911 They released a bad batch, the police jumped the gun, and banished it. The problem has been solved, and is now one of the best guns on the market.
-
o yea didnt see the glock get nominated

I have both pistols the desert warrior and the M&P 40 and the Kimber is obviously more accurate at long range. But PDs also shop by price and the Kimber warrior is a SOCOM pistol. So apples versus oranges is nuts. The M&P is a cop gun 4 inch for 25 yards or less. The Kimber is for 50 yards hence the longer barrel.

dude you can drop an Apex trigger kit into any M&P and turn it into a tac driving dream machine...some of these comments are ridiculous. I've seen a torture test of the M&P that rivals Chuck Taylor's legendary Glock tests. And guess what..the M&P put in some serious work with hardly a hiccup!!
Jump off the 1911 wagon for a bit..if the 1911 were still the very best semi-auto, it would have 100 Handgun of the Year awards.
Nothing wrong AT ALL with the M&P lmao..fanboys and their negative attitudes

i know many many SF members. they happen to roll almost exclusively with 1911s and sigs. i would never get an mp45. ever. why would i? there are loads of pistols that shoot better and have been around FAR longer that have stood the test of time.
@MNU1978
BTW.. now that you brought up the 1911 vs MP45 debate, lets run with it.
Tell me MNU1978, how many police departments have now decertified this weapon, disallowing their officers to carry it, AND/OR have had multiple problems with multiple design and build flaws in this "gun of the year"?
Come on smart guy... answer that and stay on topic.

@MNU1978
I guess that is why HRT teams, and several groups in the military are giving up their 9's and going back to 1911's in .45 :o)
