  • Evening, first off i like to thank Mr Dom for his critique on my photos. Secondly my skills are still growing and i am happy that even 1 of my photos was liked by all of you. By the end of next year things will be very much different hopefully. Equipment is down to hard earned money and also i started to learn things faster then some of my starter equipment could keep up with (canon 1000D at the time), so i got some of the best stuff i could so i could focus on my photos. Ian.

  • a meerkat zoo! lol

  • I disagree with Dom on the last photo, the tank has a certain eerie presence there, almost ominous. The atmosphere is great, like a great destroyer coming out of the debris.

  • @smcs true true but if one can get access to better equipment then why not get it to help them. The only thing that will help me become better is time and helpful videos like what Mr Dom and others make. I’m self taught and yes in time I will become the best photographer I can be.

  • @aspisargo best stuff cant always make best photos. you have to be the best photographer even with the worst stuff with best photos

  • Dom, I like your photo critique. I have been so many camera club meeting where they will do exactly the same (photo critiquing), but they are trying to be nice with the photographer and have a great reservation with what they want to say about the photos. Sometime they are too nice by just saying they like the pictures. Loving the fact that you are not afraid to say what you wanna say

  • @vagabond197979 But if you want to learn, there are a huge range of beginner SLRs that can get fabulous results for well under $1000. Why would you buy a 7D if you don't know how to use it?

  • Gorilla balls at 7:22?

  • @slyfox540 It's his money to spend so I don't why that makes you angry. He obviously wants to learn since he submitted his photos for critique. I think we should try and keep the snobbery to a minimum.

  • It makes me angry when people spend money on expensive cameras and lenses and don't know or understand what makes a good photo. Some of these could have been taken by anyone with any camera, other than the tank one I don't think any of these are that special.
