This is the best piece of classical music I have ever heard in my life, it's a shame this has only been watched 1200 times.

    me too, really

now it has been watched more than 2100 times. but it deserves more!!!

but i think the problem is that not so many people know this piece. If I wouldn't play it I would'nt know it either!

and again ... I am sorry for my agressive post but I can´t stand good music being just played out of tune with zero phrase and almost zero sound. The Navarra version is on Youtube. If you listen to it you will see that I´m not joking. Best Regards.

While I hate the ones who offer their criticising opinion without anyone even asking for it I most regrettably have to make an exception with this video. I have listened to this piece since I was in second grade and in the best performance I have ever heard - André Navarra´s. And now watching this video I am feeling a little bit sick. Don´t get me wrong I love this piece but only if it´s complimented by a good cellist. Misha Maisky is not one of those complimentary cellist. Think about it..

its nice but not the best piece of classical music haha. There is simply no best piece of classical music because so many pieces are more than genius! It is just a matter of taste. Im a big fan of Mahler and Schostakovich, but i also love to hear to Ravel Richard Strauss Schumann Brahms and Beethoven ;) Everything is genius!

Beautiful music. This is the type of music that emanates from all our hearts - calm, cultured, confidence and full of hope.

After having gone through all the performances of this piece on YouTube, I still feel this interpretation by Maisky and St. Petersburg is what I love most. I have been so moved by it...

And, because of this piece, I like to get more acquainted with Respighi.

Its admirable to see people like you here. Embracing this Music wholey. The conductor and the cellist and probably the listener are Fluid Concept. Thanks for Uploading. It relieved my respiratory distress
