How bad have things gotten that there has to be a book on how to be authentic?
is this a generational thing or is social media corrupting everyone's basic human values?
I like the recommendation on meeting people face-to-face. It seemed to work pretty well pre-Facebook. How else do you explain a population of 308,565,994?

also, I agree with the comment that this is more of "social networking" that "social media" because blogging, etc was not mentioned. At any rate - the 8 points are still helpful.

thanks for your comments... I did however mention blogging/social bookmarking in my point (be smart with your time)... and even though I talk about social networking mostly... these principles apply to social media on a whole... social networking just happens to be in there a lot. Thanks for your comment!
