AQHA Appendix Quarter Horse, 2003 Rocket Wrangler Mare For Sale. $12,000. Lelu By You. Serious barrel prospect. Competitive trail ready. I raised this mare. I owned her dam, and still own her full sister. Both were used as cowhorses on our ranch. Lelu, however is just like her daddy - the race horse. She's almost 16HH and has way too much GO for working cattle. She was bred for the race track, but never raced. I used her as a trail horse, and guest horse. She is flat out fast. She effortlessly leaves the other horses in the dust when they are sprinting in the pasture. She is elegant, smooth (she'd probably make a good dressage horse, hunter jumper, or eventer). I am just wasting her talent to hang on to her. Besides, she's too tall for me. She's been down the trail a lot, hauled to clinics, and has a great foundation on her. I've got $20,000 in her already. It pains me to let her go, but it pains me more to not let her on to her destiny. I am not a horse trader. I am a rancher, trying to do the right thing. This is not a beginner horse. She will test a new rider. She needs a rider that will maintain the alpha position and RIDE HER and is not afraid to turn her loose. Vet checks welcome. Located in Central Texas. She's got the speed, the stop, the smarts, the flexibility, the size, the trainability to be a real winner. UTD on all shots, dental work, farrier work. She stands tied, bathes, hauls, whatever. She has excellent feet. I keep her barefoot trimmed, but she did wear shoes one season while she was with a trainer, and she held them well. Too much to tell. Call me and break my heart!
