I think people should be careful what they say on this message board, (and indeed what they think) as it may only serve to de-legitimize some real points. When a police officer investigating a case of misconduct has to investigate an officer they work with, does the investigating team try to find evidence of the alleged misconduct? Do the prosecutors, working for the government like the police are, try to send the defendant to prison or get a conviction?

This is why the Israelis could not properly investigate, with impartiality, any alleged human rights abuses against enemies by Israelis.
