Chekhov's "Cherry Orchard"-part 3, Anya (young & beautiful Judi Dench) and Petya Trofimov (young & handsome Ian Holm) have their first encounter by the riverside. Chekhov's incredible writing is given perfect voice in this scene. A brilliant start to a long list of career opportunities where Judi Dench and Ian Holm would play opposite one another.

  • this shit wack, that 1 bitch should be getting naked!

  • Young Judi Dench is very cute, funny to think this was done when the first Bond film came up.

  • Anya looked so confused when he was talking about the moon and happiness xD HAHAHAHA

Also Anya.... like from Gears of War!!! :D :D :D :D

  • @spinynorman230

Yeah... the Tsarist police of the time censored a lot of Trofimov's lines. They thought the same thing: the guy is totally a proto-Bolshevik.

  • ...is that guy a communist or a marxist? lol

  • This part is excellent. The passion that the actors and actresses have bring it to life!

  • It's not the first 30 minutes, it's 2 scenes from Act I and one from Act II.

  • Yeah but it is such a difference, I look at the older Judi as a regal classy actress looking at her young is the complete opposite...she was a complete knockout in her youth!
