This game had a really good story. Every single character in the game had their own background and personality. Many characters from other FF games have characters that either don't even belong or relate much to the story or you dont get to know much about them, whereas in XIII all characters did.

@darth612 it's probably because he's a 'weak' character. but if you know how to use him well, he's a pretty good character to use. and it might also be the fact that he's a little wimpy at first. i like Hope but he can get a little irritating :l

Hope is the worst Final Fantasy character, just his presence in the game ruins it for me. I thinks its because i'm not a girl but IDK.

@cgkrazz IMO it's because of the title if it were called something else it would get less critisizm and personally i LOVED this game as an action RPG but as a final fantasy game frankly it missed its mark

I will honestly never understand why this game is hated on so much. I never noticed how linear the game was until someone pointed it out, and it still doesn't bother me. The characters were, erm, are amazing. Each has such a story, and emotions. I really feel for them. The battle system is fine, if you don't like the game playing for you, don't use auto-battle.

But the music, man the music, is beautiful. Just so much emotion in the music, the characters, the story...

@sonic360spin As did I! I couldn't bring myself to play the game once I heard the intro theme. I just had to sit down and figure it out. Then again, took me only a couple of minutes :)

@Mienchise My most hated aspect of this game is how every single character was a fashion model. Even though they were fighting an impossible battle against all odds, their clothes were always stylish, expensive and clean, their hair was completely untouched and perfectly straightened or curled, and they didn't even have a speck of dirt on their perfect faces through the game. Not exactly a very developed story when a soldier wears what's fashionable over what will save her life.
