Basic vehicle for basic needs,If you want something better,buy something that costs more money.This car has a max speed of 120 kmph,with which you can hardly break a speed limit in USA or EU.This is a perfect little car with an engine that is smaller than most motorbikes in the USA. 23Kmpl is pretty good.Comparing it to my Taurus this car sips gas.

chinese and indians are making cars that fit their needs and conditions. if you want a 4 ton, 4 wheel drive vehicle to carry your punny self and its enormous ego, go ahead. that is until the towelheads cause more deaths than its worth.

you have no clue what u r about, do u? just for the sake of it, whats traction got to do with rolling? secondly if you wanna go 90 degree turns without toppling, you will need an European sports car, a Lambo or Ferrari. NO, you cant do that on a Nano or most American cars. And they are not made for that.

@jppputube
jee idk, maybe because the tire are ridiculously tiny, less tire =less traction. faster you go even more less traction, all the less of the actual tire thats hitting the ground, if you understood any typ of physics you would under stand but i have to explain to a barbarian.

The Nano is made for India only.......specially......for Indians that travel with their families with 3,4 people or in rackshaws...that cant afford to buy cars that are that they can never afford.......driving any car for them wouldbe a dream!!

the concept is not to make a luxury vehicle that makes you look cool but one that people in developing nations can afford.

also: the crash test results were actually pretty good. it is supposed to reach a NCAP rating of 4 stars. there are plenty of cars that struggle to reach that.

So you believe that a family of 3 of 4 travelling on motorcycles & rickety mopeds is far safer than travelling inside a four-seater car?

I agree that the Tata Nano is not necessarily robust enough. But it must be appreciated for hopefully bringing a massive new social block into the motoring world.

I don't think this car is meant for developed countries like EU or America. But you can't deny the ocean of difference it will make in the lives of lower middle class people in the developing world.

really u made a clear point. let me add that i as many others would prefer this than the moped i have outside tied with chains(and wishing not to get robbed of it)and YES it is not safer than a toyota corola but its FAR more safer than a honda cb 500..
so all this noice isnt about safe.but what will the european and american indastries will do.
personally i dont care.i need about 10k euro to buy a new mini car and this cost 2k
