Health Care reform sham, mandated coverage in flawed system, and taxing benefits

The Stench of Truth 165 Mandating that all people get insurance is not health care reform. What needs to be done is a complete overhaul of the system we have because costs are through the roof. Just look at "non-profit" healthcare providers and see how much money they are making in profit (not called profit, but profit nonetheless). The system is broken and demanding that everyone get coverage in a broken system is a real farce and only will benefit the HMO's and insurance companies. Obama is preparing to dump 2 more campaign promises as House democrats think about taxing benefits. Obama has indicated he is willing to consider this even though during his campaign he loudly opposed the idea AND said no new taxes on people earning less than $250,000. Well this will break both of those promises. Thank you Mr. President.

What about this: A person is on the health plan, goes to the doctor, and the doctor prescribes something improper like Prozac, Ritalin, abortin, vasectomy, electroshock, flu vaccine, RFID chip "to streamline medical records," or some new concoction containing who-knows-what. The patient refuses it. The government kicks him off the plan, saying that refusal of "treatment" will make him sicker and cost more money. Now, with no health plan, they put him in jail until he accepts it.
