Seems OK...the bandswitch is a bit

Definitely not the worst radio of this size class. It's not really overloading badly on the external antenna. I have some of these sets that are so badly aligned that they don't receive the designated SW band! The bandswitches need to be improved...I mean, how technological is a simple switch mechanism? Hey, if you decide to sell this radio, I could be interested...

I'm gonna keep the radio...I use it every day and it still works good as new...amazing for the price!

this little radio does well , as always a very fine wire seems to work best.. good pocket radio

I have a different kaide radio, 4 usd and it gets better am reception than my jvc hifi that i use at home.

I have this same radio dubbed as CC-1012 Livstar, this one has an excellent sensitivity and selectivity. It costed less than US$ 6.00 locally. But I have also tested another cheap made in china and the majority on SW are very poor.

I don't blame ya...MANY of these subcompact radios are mistuned, and don't cover the SW bands properly. Glad you found a good one.

I have a Kaide of similar price. KKT12. FM is wacky - all the stations imaging all over the place. But shortwave is surprisingly sensitive. Poor selectivity and image rejection though.
