Essa luta foi no ano de 2000, teve um round em que o royce encaixou a gilhotina no sakuraba, o sakuraba bateu pra desistir, o juiz não viu, o gracie afroxou um pouco para pára a luta, e com isso o sakuraba se aproveitou, já que o juiz não viu, e acabou acontecendo isso, ganhou o brasileiro no cansaço, mas em 2007 o royce deu a revanche!
