@jacobtc that's a way too and many prefer it - I wanted M4 because it was here for a while with no real problems that Crucial wouldn't solve very promptly. Just playing it safe :)
@jacobtc yes thats right but I think it was too tight fit for practical usage - I had to remove the SSD just few weeks after installing it and I was glad I didn't skip the caddy+rubber pads because otherwise it would be very hard to take it out.
@MuF123 Yes I know that 9.5mm SSD's isn't compatible right from the box, but I've seen different approaches to getting the drive installed anyway, your way is one of them, however others have had success, buy just skipping on the rubber bumpers, and just installing it with no protection, and this being and SSD, it shouldn't need any protection anyway...
@jacobtc M4 is not compatible with x220 without voiding your warranty on the M4. However if you can take the "warranty void if removed" sticker without breaking it it should be okay. The mod is quite easy, just remove screws, remove spacer, !!!DONT FORGET!!!! to put isolation on the PCB because it would short curcuit without the spacer. I've done that and it is working for 2 months like this :)

You might be right, I might just skip the M4 and go with a Samsung 830 instead...

Hey, how did you install the M4? Is this the speciel 7mm version, or did you modify the 9.5mm version?
