I read on the Treasure Box album that they found this song from A&M Records' album 'Interpretations,' which happens to by the Carpenters. Though Karen Carpenter's version is more famous and irreplacable, this one should be too. I hate that this is only on the complete sessions. Dolores did an excellent job with this version. Most singers that attempt to cover Close to You try to make it sound like the Carpenters or Burt Bacharach (the original), but Dolores made it her own. Nice vid!
