My First Day of Nursing school Orientation

I just wanted to tell ya'll how my first day of Nursing School or Orientation went..and say thank you to everyone who wished me luck on Nursing school or with Nursing school and sent me blessings......

Nursing school ain't no joke..when it comes to hitting them
pockets...lol..:P

I spent another $170 dollars today on my supplies and uniforms...


Oh and P.S....Why didn't anyone tell me that Yolanda "LaLa" Brown died..you know the girl from Lyfe's music video and song.S.E.X.The sources say this happened way back in October and she was shot to death..she was only like 21 too..man thats bad...I really liked her voice too and I was waiitng on her to put out some more songs..:( she seemed like a cool person..

@jis2cool hey I left the program because the teachers and all just weren't what I needed....I just started a new nursing program on thursday and its great..problem is I have been having really bad acid reflux for the last few days and its really painful..I was actually thinking about sitting out of school this semester..but I'm going to try to stick in there because I'm damn ready to gradute.lol..

well all i can give for advice is believe in your self man..thats the best thing you can do for starters..I know that sounds really cheesy but its the truth and it all starts from there..and then just pray and hope for the best...and oh yeah..study hard..really really hard.lol..

yup!!!!!!!!!! its not the work that is hard.. infact most of the time its insulting.. its the low self esteem nursing instructors that make it like hell. No wonder theres a nursing shortage... these bitches are evil and those are who your going to work with

It is the largest Community College nursing program in Michigan. Ask your nursing instructor. They will know. Since an investigation is in progress, I cannot give too much information.

I was very opinionated during school. Instructors do not like that. They prefer you sit their and be quite when they pontificate. I was a paramedic in Detroit EMS for years. Nursing school was easy for me. My problem was with instructors who were abusive and on a power trip. Power corrupts. You will see!!

All of these nursing schools are all the same. Nursing is a very abusive profession!I left on my terms but I've seen them harass many people out. Leave while you can!

Hahah I take it your not in the nursing field because almost every point you made is wrong.

1. The only reason there are waiting lists at all nursing schools is because that can't get anyone thats crazy enough to wanna teach it. It requires a masters degree to teach, and with a masters degree you can get a job in the nursing field that pays WAY better. The other reason is lack of funding to expand there class size (most schools can only afford to let in 20 new students per quarter).

how competitive is it to get into the nursing program after pre-requisites? I've heard it's really hard to get in and I would be so upset if I won't be able to become a nurse. Can you try more than once to get in?

i know im probably extremly late,but good luck!,i was thinking on becoming an RN,but im supper scared i feel discouraged,i just dont want to get into a field and not like,it or hurt anyone,thats one o f my biggest fears!!!!!

i'm so excited and nervous! lol. i just feel really lucky just to be able to get accepted in the program...so i wish and pray that i'll make it through the whole program!
