Kendall's Eye Video - 3

More eye video.----Kendall lost his eye by trying to shoot an arrow through a chain link fence. the arrow missed and the notch on the back end of the arrow came back and hit him in the eye. He has been very brave with everything he has gone through.

@mooner001 Yes thats them, elsie was his doctor that made his conformer, the lady in the video did the painting.

So what did they put behind his eye? Like I know how they put a fake eye but is the clear stuff behind the jelly? Or is it plastic?

There is an implant behind his prothetic that was inserted during surgery after his original eye was removed, i forget what it was called, but it helps his prosthetic eye move.

no they couldnt save his eye. the arrow pretty much popped his eye like it were a water balloon.

@lanken4 its a plastic or coral-textured ball that goes inside the eviscerated eyeball and prevents it from collapsing--think of stuffing a baseball into a popped water balloon to keep the shape. The shell just covers the ruined eye so it looks normal and doesn't dry out. If you have enough of the eye left, the surgeons will always put one in so that you can still have movement with the shell.
