Christian Parahi's 'Maelstrom' - Surrealist/Noir/Experimental Short Film

In a 'Lynchian' nightmare reality, a man with no name and no soul, drinks himself into oblivion as ants bathe in poison.

Elliptical fragments dissolve as we gaze upon our protagonist, who sometimes gazes upon us.

An 'unknown' force, trans-mutates and terrorizes 'his' and 'our' sub-conscious.

As 'he' faces his existential crisis, 'we' are forced to face ours.

An existential-noir-horror, 'Maelstrom' was shot with a sony handy-cam and an iMac web-cam. Made over a weekend in early July 2009.
