this a video to highlight the treatment of dogs in bulgaria...and that more laws are needed and to be enforced. and to teach bulgarians that a dog is a pet to love and look after.....if they can not love it or have the money to look after it then they should not have one...PLEASE do not slag of bulgarians as a whole as there are many bulgarians trying to help bring this to a stop they need more support...if you have a group who is looking after and helping animals in bulgaria feel free to add your info...everyone else can do there part by passing the word about and to local papers send this link where ever you can...we want to shame the people who do this. the song homeless by leona lewis

  • how do you want to be ppls in such country when ppls get 60$ per month for hard work ?

  • @Evangelion271 true but then when you have such little money then these people should be buying or having pets to look after knowing the they can not feed them or take them to the vets to have them done so they can not have dogs or kittens as it was the second year i was there twice we had baby kittens dumped near our house so we had to take them in

  • @flash301 yea every thing you say is correct but ppls will never change here in near 50 years or more ... btw here we dont have vets and there are no laws protecting animals outside

  • @Evangelion271 people can change, with people like yourself and all the others out there in bulgara many who are young and trying their best to get the message out. just because you think it may not change, don't let it change you :)

  • thanks for responding a lot of changes are needed in bulgaria and more pushing on the government till they give in...i am sure somewhere in that office someone as a heart..

  • @lunafringe10 Who the fuck are you to decide who belong where ? The fact that 5000 people abandon their pets because of a lack of funds means they are irresponsible but that doesn't make the 8 million people that live in this country bad.

  • @Evangelion271 these ppl dont belong in the EU. None of them- Also Romania and Turkey and all of them

Stay outside, you have no regards for animals or humans alike.

  • @Evangelion271 that doesnt mean you can treat animals like shit just because your useless life is shit too

  • A little insight from a local: There is an Animal Protection Law that is modelled after other European countries' laws. However, that is just a paper document and if there are no set processes to apply and monitor what's wirtten on the paper, it is useless in real life. There was a large campaign by animal activists last year for the incrimination of animal cruelty (to be added to the penal code). Currently the highest possible penalty is a mere $250.
