The complete BBC Arabic Countdown; A full 60-second clip plays before the news programme. Started in late 2009 and designed by Lammbie-Nairn and music composed by David Lowe.

The late 2009 re-design for BBC Arabic is an approach to unify the look of BBC's different media channels.

This ident focuses on people from Developing Countries to get more closer to Arab watchers. The BBC Persian uses a similar theme.

Final comment; The BBC Arabic brand in Arabic Language "بي بي سي العربية = BBC al-arabi-ya" has been changed to "بي بي سي عربي = BBC arabi", probably to extinct any possible relations to the exist Arab news channel "Alarabiya" of MBC Group.

عملية تجديد القناة رافقت تغييرا للاسم من بي بي سي العربية إلى بي بي سي عربي ولعله للتخلص من أية علاقة محتملة بقناة الإخبارية الموجودة "العربية" من مجموعة إم بي سي

Thanks to the BBC Countdowns, everytime I'm driving down a busy road or in a large group of fast-moving people, I feel like I'm part of the BBC countdown... I'll even start humming it to myself. Does that happen to anyone else, or am I losing it?
