Police today fired tear gas to disperse the groups involved in the clash at Hulftsdorp. The protest organized by the opposition against the detention of Rtd. Gen. Sarath Fonseka at Hulftsdorp came under the attack of thugs sponsored by a Provincial council member attached to the Government, JVP MP Sunil Hadunnetti told Ada Derana.
