Unfortunately this isn't the fault of the actors, this clip speaks of a bad director who has done little to no work with the text, and has given his/her actors nothing to work with, this scene should be wildly funny, full of energy, and incredibly fun... But all I see here is flat, non-dramatic action, nothing was justified, and neither actor appeared to have a clear obective. It's unfortunate when people are so quick to assume that somehow the actors are at fault for things like this.

Give me a break, quit knocking the accents. There are 32 counties in Ireland, which leaves a lot of room for a whole range of accents!  Go Andy, u rock!! Nice set!!

The accents really ruin this fantastic play also there really isnt enough rawness in it!! there is a clip on youtube of DruidSynges version and that is the real version in my mind. Cillian Murphy plays Christy Mahon. Aaron Monaghan also plays Christy in the same production.

my apologies, i must have read that somewhere else, someone was wonder what was with that. nevertheless i was in a huffy mood because i think we did a damn good job. i being one of the people on stage. and let me tell you the majority of the audience (which was packed) were laughing their asses off. so yes i may have been a little hasty in my response. and even if you said this scene wasn't all that great kind means that you thought the whole show was too... i dunno

Also, I'm not going to be in the production, but I thank you for assuming it will be shit lol obviously I'm not on broadway, but I'm sure you understand even a broadway show can be shit and an off-broadway show can be incredible. i concede, all theatre is best seen live, but know that i never said your show was shit. I just thought the actors could do a better job in this scene. thats all. dont get huffy

lol alright ill see if i can. i think this is funny cuz i just realized how cliché it is for a bunch of actors to watch someone else's production and blather on about how they could do it better. ...but it's still true haha, i was actually supposed to play Christy in this, but i had to turn in down, so i might be able to get some video
