http://MuscleCarFilms.com/ for some great Pontiac DVD's!

Pontiac meant performance and style, from the 1950's all the way up to their unexpected cancellation announcement in 2009. I decided to make a second Pontiac retrospective, adding to the original 4 minute clip I previously posted. In this version, I've attempted to show a chronological timeline of sorts for Pontiac, including their WWII production, right up to an explanation as to what happened to Pontiac's mystique and credibility in the 2000's.

The Pontiac nameplate will be discontinued, but Pontiac fans around the world will never forget.

Pontiacs were cool. They were fun. They had style. Their designs were built on pure driving passion, excitement, and performance.

We'll miss them...

  • I know u used music shake but i can not find any info on this tune.

  • @william2240 The original version of my video had 3 songs, and YouTube took it down due to copyright issues. So I did an audio swap a LONG time ago, and now I don't recall which song I used! Yes, it was from the YouTube audio selections. I looked though the video editor and audio swap for this video, and nothing tells me what the name of this song is. If anyone can help, please let me know! Thank you.

  • Wow not hard to see what generation this videos creator was.

Nine minutes of pre 1980 cars and then a rush through the last twenty so years. LOL and not even an image of the most powerful car Pontiac ever had, the G8 GXP. Because you have an obtuse view I give this video two thumbs down.

  • @InfernoZ24 - Since 1981, I special ordered a 1989 Sunbird Turbo, then a 1993 Bonneville, then special ordered a 1996 Formula Convertible (triple black), and I have a 2005 Bonneville GXP. Yes, I do care about the last 20 years of Pontiac :-) I wanted to add more 1980's-1990's NHRA and NASCAR Pontiac footage, just not enough time allowed.

  • all i can say is. i am glad and sad for that Pontiac is gone. sad i will never see a future Firebird or GTO. but glad the fucking japs won't be making it either.

  • Dear America... WTF???? What the hell is going on over there? Where are the 20ft small cars? the 400cui V8's making 200bhp? Mpg so low you need a ph.d in astrophysics to calculate it? Cars that corner like the moon? My boyhood dream of owning a nonsense American car in Europe is ruined now! Shame on you! Go tell GM to stick cars like the Sonic up their arse and bring back the true AMERICAN car!

  • if only that woman (lynn FUCKING meyers) stayed in the kitchen .... pontiac would still be around .. man i ADORE pontiac .. it's a car that you can't kill .... it can live for ever .. and i have lots of memories with it since i was a kid till today ..... you will always be in our hearts PONTIAC

  • @MaccaIsntDead

Great video make more. I still drive a 1978 Lemans wagon I purchased new and have a 1987 Firebird Trans Am GTA in storage with only 20,000 miles another I purchased new.

  • r.i.p

  • will you tell me what music this is

  • Im so sad they got rid of Pontiac! My first car was a 91 GP then 98 GA GT then 98 GTP then 05 GXP and will soon purchase a 09 G8 GT! Pontiac For Life!

  • Such a distinctive and unique sounding V8 engine, discontinued in 1981 but still in production in aftermarket...and forever in the hearts of many. Wonder what a '62 SD 421 could have done w/fuel injection and computer control? G8 vs '62 SD 421 Cat anyone?
